BACK PAIN: A UNIVERSAL HEALTH PROBLEM


Common back pain has long been among us for some time now. Undoubtedly, back pain is a universal health problem; it affects both white and black. It does not discriminate; it afflicts men and women, children and adults. In the office hierarchy, it affects both the executive and clerk.


Back pain is a universal language because it is the complaints of many people globally. Back pain is a serious health problem because it is annoying and disabling.


Prolong mid back or upper back pain may refer pain across the ribs, underneath the breast then to the centre of the chest, which at times may be mistaken for lung disease such as pneumonia or heart pain.

Debilitating back pain can restrict your activity, reduce your work capacity and diminish your quality of enjoyment of everyday living.


The effects of chronic back pain can be very nauseating. Indeed, to most people, back pain especially waist pain remains a mystery to man. It often starts without warning for no apparent reason interferes with the activities of living, moving about and getting a comfortable night sleep.


Back pain can be very distracting, whether it is acute or chronic, the effects of back pain can also be very devastating not just for the person living with it but also for their families, friends and careers, etc.


Most victims of back pain do not always get adequate treatment for the illness. They continue to suffer month after month, year after year because of its elusiveness to medical science. These victims of back pain struggle along on their own because they are uninformed of the appropriate health facility to attend and get the pain in the back eliminated or drastically reduced.


The victim of back pain have paid the price of their ignorance in years of pain and uncountable medical appointment, which are unnecessary, grossly ineffective and a waste of valuable time.
