WHAT NECK PAIN CAN DO TO YOU

For many years, our neck has been subjected to repeated stresses and minor injuries. These injuries may not hurt at the time but repeated injuries accumulate and eventually result into the degeneration of the cervical vertebrae, hence causing neck pain.

Most neck pain is due degenerative changes that occur in the neck. The overall condition of the cervical spine usually determines how fast you recover from an injury and whether your neck pain will become chronic pain.

Frequently, chronic pain in the neck does have unpalatable effect on some areas of the body.

Some of these areas include shoulders, arms, hands and fingers. Some other times the pain in the neck can move to the scalp, spread over above the chest and even the jaw line.

A victim of waist pain is more likely to have neck pain than a victim without waist pain. Neck pain can be very frustrating, distracting and irritating. Statistics have showed that neck pain which spreads to the scalp from the back of the head to the sides above the ear by victims of neck pain can be likened to movement of ants ascending and descending from the head.

Neck pain is subjective, the affliction is such that only you that is suffering from it knows what you are going through. The sleepless nights, the heaviness of the neck, shoulders and arms which leads to numbness and tingling sensations in the hands and fingers.
